Fully
automatic Gas Changeover System |
Our customer
had a requirement for a fully
automatic Gas Changeover System,
which did not require an electrical
supply to function, including
a fail – safe feature,
where by, the particular position
of the system could be monitored.
The solution offered to the
client was based around the
design of a fully automatic
changeover valve which switches
at a pressure differential
of approximately 2 bar. Included
within the valve is a reed
switch which provides feedback
on the position of the valve.
Gauges within the system include
contacts which again provide
feedback to the monitor of
the pressure levels within
the system.

Hale Hamilton and NPL launch the
Minimised Dead Volume Cylinder
Valve |
Working in partnership
with NPL (National Physical
Laboratory) we have added
yet another variant to our
UHP 600 range of Cylinder
Valves.
Known as the MDV (minimised
dead volume valve), this new
valve offers the following
benefits to the user:
1. Minimised dead volumes preventing
the loss of liquid hydrocarbon
components.
2. Low total surface area
improves; sampling, speed
of stabilisation and accuracy.
3. Metal to metal seal means;
no polymer washer out-gassing,
thus reduced atmospheric contamination.
4. Interchangabilty between
std and MDV valve.
Presented at the recent ISO
Symposium in Holland, the
valve attracted great interest
from; Praxair, Air Liquide,
Messer, Scott Gas and Shell.
In addition to this, BOC, Air
Products and NPL have already
purchased the valve. |
